I did make it out to inspect my lilac bush. And it does have any number of blooms on it. I have seen much more generous lilac blooms on other people's lilac bushes in recent days but I was pleased. I guess because it is mine....LOL. Having stepped outside I realized although still mid 70s, the humidity got blown out of here...so a very pleasant evening to have windows open. I have not wrestled the A/C into the window yet..... our temps are such ....still cool/cold at night....if you just leave the windows closed the thermal mass of the house will fend off the higher temps....and who wants all that humidity in the house??? Not me! I did not inspect my grass seed but it got watered today by mother nature and my lawn expert at work said too soon for sprouting. If his hasn't sprouted yet, why would I torture myself? Besides which it appears that although the tree guy scraped it down to dirt...that did not kill the grass (okay perhaps they aren't the finest types of grass....okay they could be weeds...remember my criteria....looks green from the road driving past at 50 mph).... and it is coming back up anyhow....or seems to be.... Leaving for work today, I noticed the rose of sharon bushes out front are leafing out.... the one closer to the 3 season porch...nothing yet... but I can be patient.... and see what happens.
