George, I bet you had to go into the witness protection program over your late night zucchini deliveries! lol  I am usually at a loss as to what to do with them after the first six or so have left the garden area!  It's too bad I still don't live on the farm, as they do make good animal snacks!  lol  Actually, we had a tomato theiving chicken one year that methodically went down the rows taking samples of ripe fruit.  No green, just red and juicy globes.  Smart chicken.  And then there was the tomato eating Mama Cat.  She didn't take out just a nibble or a peck.  Oh no.........  she'd take a humongous chomp and leave the remnants hanging and swaying in the breeze.  She must have been an Italian cat.  Can't think of any other explanation.  Thankfully, she didn't pass on that particular genetic trait to her offspring.  My solution for slug removal is a generous sprinkling of salt over their slimy, mucousy, slithery little bodies.  Yuk!

Nira, that is too bad about Cian's mishap!  I know that put an immediate squelch on your activities!  He's lucky he didn't blister!  I've been thinking about reupping my library card.  I let it lapse about12 years ago.  I've just been in the habit of getting reading material from the Recycled Reader or the various thrift shops around here.   The closest I got to the Farmer's Market yesterday was when we dashed into the pharmacy next door.  The sign was out, but there was no one in the parking area.  I don't think they'll see much traffic until it warms up a bit.  It was downright cold yesterday!
