My stepson had a wreck on his way to school this morning so I got the call to please go to where he was until his dad and stepfather could get there. Both of them work one hour away and both were already at work. Poor Andrew. The accident was his fault. He wasn't speeding, but he hit the truck in front of him when it stopped to make a left turn into a driveway. The truck is fine, other than the bumper, but Andrew's car is totalled. No collision insurance because of the age, unfortunately. Don't know what they will do about a car for him. We had given him the one he has now. We'll see what happens in the coming days. He can drive our truck temporaraly (sp?) but it is too old for him to use it full time, plus we use it too much to get rid of it. It is loaded down with pine needles right now anyway. It was such a dramatic sight to drive up there. There were two fire trucks, an ambulance and the highway patrolman. Thankfully neither boy was hurt, just some cuts on Andrew's hands from the windshield shattering (hit by the airbag on the passenger side).
So I'm getting ready to head to the office now on what looks so far like a beautiful day. We had rain overnight, thus the wet road that caused Andrew to skid into that truck.
Hope you all have a good Tuesday!
