Well, 2 1/2 hours later, I am finished at the neurosurgeon's office and ran home to give Baby Mack some outside time.  Surgery is scheduled for May 17, one of those 23 hour stay things so you don't get billed for an entire overnight stay and she will be replacing everything that was put in Nov. 13, 2009.  *sigh*  I have to do the whole damned thing over again with the exception of carving away the bone in my neck since she's already done that.  That, at least, is a small blessing, and maybe wil help me to not be quite so sore after surgery.  One can hope.  The biggest difference will be that unlike last time when she did not require me to wear a cervical collar, I will have to wear one this time.  She said too many people are having trouble with it moving before it can scar in and she doesn't want to take that chance again.  So 4 weeks in one of those hard cervical collars and I already dread that!  4 weeks out of work too.  I can drive after two if I feel like it and regular activity can resume after 8 weeks.  I knew this was what was going to happen, but it still became more real when I heard it out of her mouth.
Oh well, hopefully I'll be on my way to feeling better.
