I bet your yellow iris lifted your spirits!  What a welcome suprise!  I was so afraid you'd have to have your surgery redone especially after your device went belly up.   Will the company pay for part of the redo?  I'd hope they would!  I really really really pray that there are not so many hitches this time!  I know that cervical color is going to be, pardon the pun, a pain in the neck!  And 8 weeks is doable.  I'm calculating in my head... mid June?  That should give you a good portion of the rest of the summer!  Blessings on both you and Scott!  You've both been through the wringer!  Is Andrew suffering any ill effects from being  knocked around?

I had a slow and busy start to the morning this morning.  I had intended to get up a bit earlier than I did as I was participating in a Women in History program at church and had to put a lunch together for the participants.  Kathy, I used your tomato soup recipe, as it is always a hit!  We spent the morning discovering and learning about the life and times of Julian of Norwich, what little there is known, and in her main writing, Revelations of Divine Love.    I particularly liked this little prayer:

Be a gardener.

Dig a ditch,

toil and sweat,

and turn the earth upside down

and seek the deepness

and water the plants in time.

Continue this labor

and make sweet floods to run

   and noble and abundant fruits

to spring.

Take this food and drink

and carry it to God

as your true worship.
