Good evening!
Logan, such good news on Apollo, glad to hear it! Enjoy your pancakes. Dan and Deb, wow, more hard work and excellent progress. Nira, that is weird they included running if you specifically asked that they didn't do so... high impact is too much for many people. I don't know what I did, but now I have a hip killing me... so think I am going to take it easy and not exercise this evening. Oh bother, will be the first day I have missed. And I ate an ice cream sundae today to boot. So really should do my exercises, perhaps twice! LOL. I will try to catch up tomorrow....I did go weigh in and get my stamp for today... boy that sundae really messed up my process control chart!  LOL.  Miss Jeans, did Mac T ever get a treat for all his effort?  If he lived on the other side of my fence and I was home, I would have given him one!

The ice cream social was a celebratory event.  Complete with handing out shirts to commemorate one's contribution.  This has been a mess from the beginning.  First the R&D core team got their shirts 5 months ago when the product released....picking through all the shirts to find one's that fit as they all came in at least a size too large....okay so the rest of us....were not given Omar the tent maker shirts but asked to resize and shirts would be ordered.  5 months later the shirts come in...don't ask whose incompetance it was it took that long, it was not mine.  An event is planned.  I saw the invitation and noted some exceptions.... why isn't this person invited?  That was an oversight, thanks for pointing it out.  Why isn't this person invited?  Oh, well 5 months ago, they hadn't made a significant contribution.... yes, but now they have, you can't do that... managed to get that one corrected... the guy didn't show up today nor did his co-workers...guessing they caught the slight.  When it comes to this stuff you have to be very careful... do not meddle in the affairs of wizards for they are subtle and quick to anger, never underestimate people's feelings, error to too many.  I completely stuck my foot in my mouth at lunch.  Suggested to a friend/co-worker to remember we had dessert coming.  What did I mean?  He wasn't invited.  I was sure his name was on the list... it was 5 months ago and he was asked 5 months ago what size shirt he wanted....his name had since been scrubbed.  Is it me?  How do you ask someone what size shirt they want twice (second time when the shirt sizes were wrong) and then scrub them??? Wonder how many others there are in that boat?  The ice cream was good.  Little bit of speech stuff and then ... shirt distribution... each of us would be called up individually to be given our shirt and honored.  I have seen that done randomly so no one can think their contribution was less valued than anothers.  I have seen it done alphabetically... people with last names ending in W are used to it.  I have seen it done alphabetically backwards.  I have seen it done alphabetically by first name... or by first name alphabetically backwards.  I have seen it done by contribution and must say that one is very dangerous!  LOL!  I have never seen it done by size!  You could have heard a pin drop when the woman in charge announced that was how she was doing it.  I had my boss's boss in front and to the left of me so got to see him put his hand to his face and wince.  Our boss was behind me so I didn't see his reaction.  I can only assume that it wasn't good... she realized she seriously stepped in it....and was looking to the back to someone, I assume the boss, to get direction....was that a problem?  should she randomize it?

The feedback I got on it was....how awkward, she should be sent to sensitivety training...great guy who got his shirt last as he is rather large.   I saw the look on my boss's boss's face... he was probably wondering how many hours he might spend with HR to clean this up.  It would only take one person, and there were many people in the room, to lodge a complaint to HR over it.  Another guy, said, how awkward, at least she didn't give out shirts by age.  She is much younger than most of us, she is very petite, she is very fashionable.  At least she didn't give out rewards based on how fashionable your shoes are!  It was a disaster area.  It pretty much wiped out the whole point of it.  What was she thinking?  Perhaps she didn't bother to think?

Thanks for listening!  Rumor has it that temps might hit near 60 tomorrow... what an odd winter!

Question... this is a hard one....what flower doesn't attract bees?  Or attracts few bees?  A friend has always grown cleome by his fence but learned last fall his new (one year) neighbor is freaked out by the number of bees they attract as she is allergic to bees... any suggestions for him?

Night all...
