Well I'm envious of all those who have quinces growing in their gardens.  They're a bit iffy to grow successfully up here.   I just adore the fruit - my father used to simmer them up in a honeyed syrup and serve them warm with hot Melba toast and a good strong tangy Cheddar for a supper on Sunday evenings during Autumn and Winter months.  Absolutely superb!  He was also a marvel with well bletted Medlars - another fruit tree I'd love to grow here.  You just don't see many Medlars anywhere these days.

Well I'm off early tomorrow morning, going to catch the 6.46 to Birmingham to meet up with my son.  I can't wait to see him again!  He's coming home for Easter break - three whole weeks to indulge my baby boy, and also tomorrow my daughter is starting her first ever job - working in a craft shop.  I'm so jealous!  I know the shop very well and it's somewhere I would give my right arm to work in, had it been a bit nearer home.

Anyway, I'm off to bed - need to get up at 5am. smiley: frown
