Happy Friday, George, and everyone. It is starting off as a beautiful, mild day in SC, but I understand that rain is in the forecast for later. No complaints because we need the rain. I do hope and pray that there will be no drought this summer.
Most of our trees have gotten their leaves already except for the Crepe Myrtles. They are always later. I can't believe it is the end of March and the Bradford Pear has already bloomed and dropped the blooms! The oaks are dropping their mess right now. I blew the driveway off and all the walkways and deck on Tuesday night and by Wednesday afternoon, everything was covered again. I will tackle it all again, weather permitting, on Sunday afternoon.
Tonight I'm going to see "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" at the Warehouse Theater in Columbia (SC). One of my high school classmates is staring in it and a large group of us are going to watch him and see him after the show. He has no idea that we are coming. I think there are 15 people from our small class of 52 who are coming. Scott is staying at home because he was really supposed to be in Atlanta today but that trip was cancelled at the last minute. Someone needs to be home in the morning at 9 because AT&T is coming to install U-Verse. We are giving up our cable and I am nervous about it. We can always switch back I think. There is one channel I like that will not be available on the new lineup, but it will be ok. I just hate to lose the recordings I have stored up on the DVR that I was holding on to watch when Scott travels, which he has not been doing lately, but there is nothing I can do about it at this point. Our internet (DSL) has been spotty lately and Scott needs a phone line for his office phone because the Majic Jack he has been using is not satisfactory. We're getting rid of our home line and setting up a new number plus a toll free number for him. Lots of change, but it is probably past time since we will save a lot of money and hopefully have better internet service. I'm riding with a friend this afternoon and we are going to Sumter tonight to spend the night with our parents and will come back late tomorrow afternoon. Sunday will be my yard day after church if it doesn't rain.
Hope you all have a terrific weekend!
