Afternoon is almost over and evening quickly approaching, although it is pretty dark out at the moment due to the torrential rain coming down at the moment!  I had to hustle like crazy to get home and barely beat the rain earlier this afternoon.  Our satellite keeps going out because the cloud cover is so dense.  Harumph!  I got the extra plants delivered to Mr. Gregory tho, and did manage to get MY mater plants in the big raised bed this morning.  So much to do - so little time as we tried to get the lawe sn mowed out front and helped Alicia across the street with her lawn.  Her mower fritzed out on her and they had people coming to look at the property today.  Have my fingers crossed that the place will sell.  Hate seeing them leave as they have  been super neighbors.

Dan, I am glad that your folks have things squared away!  After the mess my mother went thru with her parent's estate, well.... enuff said.  I was a little wee thing at the time, but heavens to betsy! what a mess that reverberated across five states for the next fifty odd years!!  George, I can only imagine!

Would you look at the size of those blackberries!  Talk about died and gone to heaven- those look absolutely delicious!

Pam, I think we finally got some of your rain this evening.  Do you need any back???   I'm hoping with all this rain that the mesclun mix Patti sent, will go ahead and sprout.

We ordered a live plant to be delivered for Mom on Mother's Day weekend and I do hope they send something special.  It's sometimes (wow is it ever coming down now!!!!  buckets!!!!)  hard to know what is available at the little flower shop where they live.  Last year they sent her some snazzy bromeliads that she just loved and was able to save some pups from, so she should be able to enjoy them for a few more years.  She has such a green thumb!

George, they had a special on one of the stations on the healing properties of turmeric/cucumin, especially in regards to it's efficacy in treating cancer and how mainstream pharmaceuticals were turning up their noses at it because it is a "common" herb and therefore not worth their time, i.e. profit, to develop it for cancer treatment.  Pity.
