Good evening!
Dan glad to hear things are well in hand.  Good news that you can get back to Yarmouth.   My hat is off to Deb for her efforts to keep things going there, but I imagine she could use some help about now with the planting!

George, I appreciate all the pics of the various interesting plants you grow!  I hope you are feeling better and get some sunshine soon.  I am still quite content with all the rain we are getting although others are getting crabby about it.  We need the rain!  I have to go to work anyhow and it is conveniently dumping on us during the work week.  It wasn't quite as chilly today.  It appears it is going to be clear for Mother's Day weekend.  smiley: happy

Pam, the quilt did come.  My mistake, it was USPS and not UPS... and it arrived in a banged up box with tape wrapped all around it... holding it together... with printing on it saying it was damaged upon delivery.  I took that to mean damaged when a particular PO took delivery and not intended as an acknowledgment it was damaged when it got to me.  (No criticism of USPS intended.  I hope they stay in business for a long time.) The good news is the quilt wasn't damaged, just the box.  I am delighted with it.  I hope my niece will be also.  I am not entirely sure, as her color scheme for her room is purple and lime green and they didn't have any of those.  Or perhaps I was shopping at the wrong store.  I can't believe that color preference will last too long.  I was particularly pleased as it is indeed a quilt..... fabric sewn together as opposed to quilt pattern printed on the material.  And no, I have yet to get starting on my quilting.  What was I thinking when I thought I would find time for that?

I just had bunches of fun planning out a garden plot with some free (30 day trial) garden planning software.  You just say how large your garden is and then drag your chosen plants over to stick them in.  They show  up in the plot at the size of the garden space they should be given.  Excellent!  It was nice to get confirmation I have a clue how much space each type needs.  Funny how when I garden by myself,  I just wing it and it works out.  With others involved, I want to be sure I am doing it properly.  LOL.  It is just a concept as we don't know the location of the plot in the garden yet.  I haven't figured out which direction the sun tracks in yet, etc.  I tried to locate the higher plants in the center so we won't shade our neighbors plots.  Mostly what I was trying to do was establish a concept of how much you can fit in a 10'x10' plot.  I did a second plot with just a few veggies in it to demonstrate how much space each would take!  One guy wants to grow watermelons!  Laughing.  Large space required for those and although I have been researching growing up for squash in cages... you have to sling them... and I can't imagine the sturdiness of cages and supports required to sling watermelons!

Hope everyone has a relaxing evening and great rest of the week!
