Nira, it sounds like you had a wonderful time seeing Nick!  He's really doing well isn't he?  I've only seen the GW bridge in pictures, you guys, so I had no idea it was such a bear to negotiate!  Good heavens!  It must be worse than the Bay Bridge Tunnel in Virginia!  That's bad enough!

George, I got a little six pack of some peachy colored impatiens last week and stuck them under the cherry tree, where I hope they do well in the shady part.  I needed something with some color over there!

I'm hoping it warms up just a little bit more for today.  There is just this side of a chill to the breeze outdoors that is leftover from the little front that wnt thru and soaked us yesterday.  Enough to throw on a sweater to prevent a few goosebumps!  We had to have gotten almost a couple of inches from the storms as one of the storage tubs I had left outside was filled about halfway with water and one of my pot was about 1/3 full.  I won't be taking the shortcut into town thru the swamp for a little while as I know that the bridge will be underwater and impassable.  The water level has been lapping at the verges and it wouldn't take much to flood the road down there, either.  The  peepers sure loved the rain!  They were croaking their little throats out and the little pond out front has strings of eggs floating in the water along the edges.  Must have been a whole lot of froggie lovin' going on!  lol  Will keep an eye out for tadpoles!
