I am not sure when we will be given the go ahead to start planting! I am having fun because some portion of discussion at lunch is about gardening instead of sports and more sports and more sports. smiley: wink Today we talked about tomatoes. I just wanted to know if when some (one guy) say tomatoes should be red.... does that mean red/red.... like primary color red? Would it be okay if it was perhaps a bit pinkish or maybe a bit darker almost like purple? Laughing, he is so afraid I am going to make him eat a yellow tomato, he will accept anything that is close to red. He did put his foot down on green tomatoes... how on earth would you know when they were ripe? (I agree so don't grow those.) I got my boss laughing earlier in the day as I explained about asparagus beans, pretzel beans, yellow lemon cucumbers. Hey, I should be allowed to have a little fun with this! And I got my MacGyvers going!  We have plants, seeds, landscape fabric.....but we are going to need some way to pin down the landscape fabric.  ?????  Anyone have some tent stakes they aren't using this summer?  I love the one guy, despite his prejudice against yellow tomatoes, .... couldn't we just use rocks?  That was what I did in my big veggie garden in RI, but this is going to be very tight and someone could twist an ankle or something.  He got thinking about it... he has a bunch of U shaped invisible dog fence something or others as he has now replaced his with a wireless one.  Another guy said if that wasn't enough, couldn't we just bend up wire coat hangers.......  I guess I did give them a job.  I am good at that!  On the other hand, I did all the shopping for landscape fabric and plants.  I am putting together my canvas bag... scissors, boxknife, sidewalk chalk, seeds, etc.....  will keep you posted! Oh, it is not the least bit likely I will remember a camera but I made a note to self.  These guys all have smart phones... I will get them to take the pics.  LOL.  I promise to labor through figuring out how to stick it someplace so I can post them.   I suppose I should go rescue my laundry and finish up my exercise!
