Good Morning all! Sorry to have been AWOL this past week, ended up with that noro or novo virus that has been making the rounds...and have been sick since a week ago Friday. Thought I was getting better at one point, even ate some normal food, but it was not done with me yet...so back to the fluids, occasional jello, all that good stuff. Finally had a bit of appetite yesterday, so ate cautious quantities of solid food, and so far so good. Nira, I hope this is not what you are fighting...it has run rampant in this area. Many nursing homes are quarantined, my supervisor said that quite a few were sick, and did not come to work. One of the departments he oversees has ten members, and six of them were out sick Friday. I am actually looking forward to going to work tomorrow, as I have only left the house once since Dec 26, and that was just going for a ride in the car with Richard and Bogey...lol. GJ and Wingy, glad you are feeling better....those sinus things can be a real bear to deal with! I never used to have sinus trouble, until maybe the last five or six years...and I hate it when it rears its ugly head. I think whoever came up with Sudafed should be a hero, or reccomended for sainthood...or something like that. LOL! I keep a box both at my desk at work and at home, plus a box in my purse....can you tell I don't like sinus headaches??? lol Jett...did you hear the whizzz of the snowball I threw your direction?? LOL! I want 78 degrees! Heck...I would take 58 degrees, and be quite excited about it...lol. We are currently at 8 degrees, it is really windy out, so they say the windchill makes it feel like 20 or 30 degrees below zero. We had freezing rain and sleet yesterday afternoon and evening...making the roads seem like a feature in the ice capades! We wisely chose to stay home, but some either did not have the option, or were just plain dumb. As you go through the little village I live in....from either direction you first come down a hill, then after you get through town, you go back up a hill. The hill on our end, (we are the last house) is not a steep one, but one of those long gradual ones. So when people slowed down to 30 mph to get through town, they were finding that they could not make it up our hill...they would almost make it....get within maybe 30 feet, tires spinning and engines whining....then they would have to stop and back up. They would then back up all the way through town, then make a run for it....most of the time they made it. lol Talk about your cheap entertainment! We just sat on the couch, watching tv and watching cars and trucks negotiate the hill...we entertain very easily I guess...lol. I hope you all have a wonderful day....stay warm!
