Hello all! Sunny but cool here in upstate New York.

We came back a day early as I came down with a nasty cold the second day I was there. All I did Sunday was sleep. Not very good company. I'm still feeling bad. I do hope I feel a lot better by Friday as I fly to Atlanta that afternoon.

The visit was OK, but with the typical bittering between my brother and sister-in-law it did get tiring. I really should not have taken Cian with me as now he is refusing to go to my nephew's wedding in Florida as he doesn't want to be around Jim and Lisa. My brother is the problem. He is just not a happy person and wants everyone around him to be miserable too.

The Johnny Appleseed festival was a joke. I thought when you had a festival centered around a theme that there's supposed to be activities and food based on that theme. Not this one! The only thing we found were some apples and cider that were not local, and the lion's club was selling not-great-tasting apple dumplings. Everything else was just the carnival food wagons. I know the couple times I went to the Circleville (Ohio) Pumpkin Show there were all types of activities based on pumpkins, and everything you could think of made of pumpkin. Don't have to go to the Johnny Appleseed one again. Even Jim and Lisa said it was getting smaller and smaller. I just think it needs revamped into an actual apple festival.

It rained all the way down to Lisbon but the weather was nice coming back. The weather was nice for the festival too. We went Saturday night. Jim and Lisa had a party at their home afterwards which was pleasant. They have a fire pit in the back yard so was nice to sit around it as it got cooler during the evening. I think we stayed up until about 2 a.m. which is almost unheard of for Cian and me! lol

Cian and I went to Mount Vernon early Saturday where I was able to get a few obituaries at the library. Just wish I had more time!

Good to be home. Sounds like everything is going good for the most part for everyone.
