Good evening!
We had lovely weather today.  Looks like warmer weather for at least a week.  Nira, does Jamie have a large enough apartment for several shopping carts of stuff?  LOL.  I am quite sure she appreciates your assistance and appears you love shopping.  Glad to hear you are having such a good time together.  I am sorry to hear about the GERDS.  I don't do well with eating later in the evening so avoid that as much as I can.  Waving hi to George!  Pam, are you almost done putting your gardens to bed?  We got out to the garden plots after we ate lunch.  The sun gold tomato plant is still producing.  We got a few of the Mrs G.  And a few red cherry tomatoes.  There were two ripe lemon boys.  There are still some brandywine and giant Belgium ripening.  We left them on the vine.  Much to my surprise I found a gorgeous dark purple sweet pepper.  It was hiding until it got so large that I could see it in the leaves.  We will cut it at lunch tomorrow so everyone can have a taste.  It really is lovely, perfectly formed, no blemishes at all.  As the garden winds down I think we are less inclined to donate our produce.  Although I don't think they would know what to do with a dark purple pepper.  One guy on my team looked a bit askance at it.  We have several zucchinis ready to pick.  Another summer squash didn't make it.  I got it out of there and off to the compost pile where there was still something firm enough to hold onto.  smiley: eyes  One squash plant has bugs on it.  I am wondering if they are stink bugs.  My buddy took a picture.  I am thinking we should spray the squash plants down with soapy water tomorrow.  I don't know if that will help, but won't hurt.  smiley: wink  At least the bugs came late in the season.  Oh, and my Fall planting of snow peas have flowers on them.  We might get some snow peas yet!

I hope everyone got their week off to a good start!
