Good evening,
Nira, awesome accomplishment! As for that demarcation up the stairs.... a decorative fashion statement! I hope you can take it a bit easier now and enjoy your time with your family. Dennis, I hope you aren't feeling any worse today from your fall. You need to, as you keep telling me, be more careful! Yak Trax! I also said a prayer for your friend. He certainly has a good one in you! Pam, snow is mother nature's way of saying we are done with outside garden work for this year!
It was a relatively quiet day at work. Many people took this week off. Those of us at work today, well, we all confided in each other that we really didn't feel like working. Laughing. But we did! After work, I stopped at Staples for the 20% off all you could fit in a bag sale. Bonus, they actually gave you a reusable shopping bag. I didn't get mine until I got up to the counter. I only bought what I needed. Didn't come close to filling my bag, but was happy with the discount! And I am all set to print coloring books, write out Christmas cards, remembered crayons to go with the coloring books, and stocked up on tape.
It was quite warm today, mid 60s, also quite rainy and very windy. I decided to do the rest of my errands tomorrow. I think I can squeeze them in before work. Our grocery stores open very early. I don't need much. I do need a full tank of gas. It should only be half a tank to get to Mom's and back but I don't know that the weather is going to co-operate. Perhaps I should stop on the turnpike when I am almost there. I am of the opinion that weather forecasters delight in suggesting the worst! It still could be a slow trip on Wednesday back to NH. I can drive in snow. I am hoping the wimps stay home. I have no doubt that the road crews will be all over it. Heaviest traffic day of the year with little or no use of salt and sand yet this year. Certainly no excuse for not doing a good job! I imagine my blue car will be white with salt by the time we get back here. Actually, what I am really hoping is that the weather forecasters are over predicting.
I guess I should go pack my bag and make my list for errands tomorrow. If all goes well, we should be racing ahead of the storm, we can buy pies when we get back.
If I don't have a chance to say so, I wish, all of those celebrating Thanksgiving, a delicious meal and precious time shared with those that you love!
