Good evening,
I am quite tired and a little bit stiff and sore this evening but happy to have accomplished my mission. My Mom is safely at my sister's house for Thanksgiving and no worries about our driving in the predicted major snow storm tomorrow. My trip there was uneventful. Mom was ready to go. She is a trooper since she had relatively short notice. We loaded up her stuff and off we went to get back to NH. The trip wasn't quite as smooth coming back. We hit a few slow downs, but nothing compared to the traffic heading in the opposite direction on the MA turnpike. It was a parking lot! I felt so bad for those people. But I was certainly grateful it wasn't us! I was pleased that my hip held up. Driving isn't an issue so far, but my hip stiffens up. I could hardly walk when I got out of the car at my sister's house, but am better now. The nice part is that I now have all day tomorrow to do my stuff. The storm warning for around here doesn't start until mid/late morning. I plan to have all my errands run before then, right when the stores open. Then back home to finish tidying up the garage to get the car in so my driveway can be plowed properly. And then perhaps cutting and folding Christmas cards and printing up coloring books. I plan to have a lazy afternoon watching the snow come down.
