Good evening,
George and Pam, sorry to hear you are getting too much rain. It looks like we might follow suit next week. Nira, I am not sure if you are ahead or behind our weather. We were lovely today... mid 60s. But looks to be a scorcher on Sunday. I got more pepper plants transplanted today and did a count of all that is left. By early next week, there will be exactly 10 flats of plants, no more, no less. The rest will be given away for someone else to nurture. My buddy cleared more of his desk today to make space for the last flat. He has been wonderful about helping move flats about. He also helped me carry out plants. I have tomato and basil plants for my mom and brother. I dibbled out the basil from the half flat. I thought I over seeded pretty heavily. There weren't as many plants as I would have expected. Perhaps more will sprout as time goes on. I chatted with a man that I shared seeds with. His pepper seeds took forever to germinate also. He has gotten a few of the paprika. He said he thought they finally germinated when it got so hot. He has them right in a window so it warmed up considerably. Hmnnn.... I brought the no show pepper cups along also. They can sit in my dark blue car which heats up like a green house.
I will be going into work tomorrow until about noon and then off to my Mom's. I appreciate a co-worker coming in after he finishes up a family obligation in the morning, so I can be on my way. Actually, I think he told his children they would be going to work with Daddy, before he realized he might be able to handle the situation remotely, and they got so excited, he was stuck with it. Laughing.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
