Good Afternoon, All!

Welcome Kathaleen, I'm one of the guys from Canada and garden in zone 3b, and grow everything. I have three large vegetable gardens, several flower beds, a new shade garden and a 4 x 12 raised bed that is 3 ft. high. Ths year it will have an abundance of lettuce[volunteer] and bunching onions[ volunteer] growing in it as well as the radishes that I will plant to complete the salad garden. I don't know where the speckled lettuce came from but it is nice.
Patti, you really don't need any more ice and snow. Stop wishing for it, girl!! By the way, thanks for the seeds that arrived on Friday. If you have anything [seeds, that is] that you think I may want just send them along as I am open to growing everything.
Nancy and Tonya, I found that raisins work better than peanut butter as the mice were smart enough to lick it off the trap and not set it off. Heaven knows how many times I cussed when the trap would go off on my fingers and that darn mouse could lick it off and nothing would happen to it. I now tie a raisin on it and it gets the mouse every time.
Miss Jeans, cats are very nice but if they take to laying on the seedlings then they are as destructive as the mice if not more so.
