Good Morning All!
I can post! Whoooohoooo! LOL!
It is a chilly, blustery day in Minnesota today, I think we are currently at 30 degrees. We have had snow the last 3-4 days, but fortunately it has not stayed. I really should not complain though...for this time of year the weather has been wonderful. I actually had shorts on early last week.
Two nights ago I had a bit of an adventure. As I was driving home from work, I hit a deer. I had just crossed the rise of the last hill before home, you go up a small hill, then down a long hill. Just as I started down the hill, the deer ran right in front of me. Neither the deer nor I stood a chance. I had been going 55-60 miles an hour, and did not even have a chance to brake, as it literally ran right in front of me. I slammed on the brakes, and made it to the shoulder of the road. A guy had been coming from the other direction, and saw everything happen, so he stopped, which was nice. It all happened so quick, but I was so lucky. After I hit the deer, it slid onto the hood of my car, then I think went flying off just as it was going to hit the windshield. Upon looking at my car later, there was hair on the windshield wipers!
The car ended up
with just a small dent in the hood, and a small dent in the bumper. The deer was not as lucky. I could not help but think that Deb is saving deer, and I just
took one out. It broke my heart, but there was not a darn thing I could have done different. Fortunatlly the deer did not suffer, so if it had to happen, I
guess that is a good thing.
I hope you all have a great day, take care.
