Good morning! A sunny, not-a-cloud-in-the-sky-40-degree morning here in upstate New York. Promises to be a nice day.
I'll be mowing today, taking only a break to have lunch with 4 friends in town. They're all heading to Ireland in about a week, and I'm so jealous. But I couldn't go because I know that Cian would love to go to Ireland also and he wasn't invited lol. Besides if Cian and I travel I really like it to be only the two of us because we have such similar wants, like what we want to see and do. Hard to come together with a diverse group such as these ladies.
Patti, it will be interesting to see what happens with your gardening plots. I would hope that someone takes pics. I know you're not one to do so, but pretty please once it's in?
Jan, the GW bridge is not that complicated once you arrive at it. It's the getting to it which is a pain. I spend a good deal of time on the FDR driveway, but once I am heading toward the bridge things start to move. And with the Manhattan Bridge it wasn't so much the waiting in a long queue to arrive at it, but I just missed the turn and trying to drive through Chinatown was unfamiliar so I made a lot of wrong turns. I forgot to mention though that I had to wait for a funeral procession. The first two limos had what must have been a Chinese 'priest' sitting in the passenger seat. Dressed rather weird with some sort of headdress. A large picture of the dead woman was placed on the grill of the first vehicle, which I assume was the hearse. This vehicle was covered with flowers on the back. Very strange-looking vehicle. And there had to have been more than 20 cars following. Very popular lady I guess.
Pam, sounds like you're finally able to get stuff done. I hope to do a lot in the gardens the next few days as it's supposed to be nice.
Hope everyone has a great Friday!
