Good morning everyone! Mostly cloudy, but some blue skies peeking through here in upstate New York. It's 61° right now, but is supposed to drop during the day. Very pleasant!
I was MIA the past couple days as I was busy, busy, busy. Friday I spent the entire day washing down walls. They looked so good that I was tempted to not paint, but realized that the paint I was using would make washing walls so much easier. Saturday morning I spent putting painter's tape around all the necessary places. Then around 12:30 p.m. I started to paint. Finally finished around 5:30 - 6:00 p.m. Yesterday morning I spent a few hours repainting some areas that I had missed
, and removing all the painter's tape. I was exhausted after all that, but it does feel good to finally have it done. I had been wanting to do it for about 4 years, but get putting it off. I ended up not painting all the way up the upstairs stairway. I made a straight up and down demarcation line a couple feet up from the ground floor. Put painter's tape straight up the wall and actually made a good straight line of paint. Looks a little weird with beige, then stark white, but I don't care. We have very high ceilings in that stairway and without the proper equipment the painting just wasn't going to be done. Yesterday was also spent putting stuff back up on the walls, etc. Then errands had to be run in town. Phew!

George, sounds like your contraption would be easy to replicate. Very good idea! Dennis, glad that you did not suffer so much from the fall. Give my best to your friend. I know he doesn't know me, but please share my thoughts with him. Pam, you've made progress. Hope the snow does not materialize as forecast so you can get everything done. Patti, you sound like you are right on schedule. Safe driving over the holiday.
Jamie arrived Sunday morning around 1 a.m. Nice to have her home for a whole week! Nick arrives Tuesday evening, and Jamie's boyfriend, T.J., arrives Wednesday afternoon. And yes, Patti, we are having T-day dinner here.
Today more housecleaning, but I now have a Jamie helping (that is when she gets up!). Hope all have a great Monday.
